Our client, a top national wholesale insurance brokerage, is seeking an Excess and Surplus Insurance Marketing Property Broker (also known as an Inside Property Broker or Marketing Account Executive) to join their team. The group manages a book of over $20M in revenue.
Assist the Broker in servicing and strategically positioning the Broker's commercial property insurance portfolio.
Build and maintain strong relationships with retail agencies and brokerages, potentially involving marketing activities.
Display in-depth knowledge of commercial property insurance policies across various carriers and markets.
Analyze retail broker submissions, determine risks and required coverages, and select appropriate markets for quotes.
Manage and follow through on market placements and handle submissions to insurance markets as needed.
Engage in negotiations and communications with insurance markets and retail brokers.
Review and evaluate quotes and policy terms from insurance providers.
Assist in presenting pricing and policy details to retail brokers and oversee the quote binding process.
Negotiate and finalize new or renewal business placements as directed by the Broker.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all related documents for each policy/account.
Knowledge of the Texas market is preferred since most of the accounts will be based there.
Our client is looking for someone who is knowledgeable of insurance markets and if needed, knows how to find additional markets. They need to be very independent and handle a large volume of insurance accounts. This person needs a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an insurance broker and has significant marketing experience. This candidate should come from another large wholesale brokerage. Having a Risk Management degree is not needed, but it would be a plus to have. This is not a production position.
The position is fully remote; however, they would prefer that the person be in the Houston area.
The total compensation will be over $200,000.
